We had the opportunity to work on a 1976 Chevrolet C10 pickup truck here at Highend Car Stereo and Performance and upgraded several different options. We added a set of Oracle headlights that showcase white LED halo rings and LED headlight bulbs for a better look and better visibility. We also customized the bezel and relocated the temperature controls in order to fit a Pioneer touchscreen head-unit. To accompany the radio we installed a set of Hertz 6.5″ components in the front while a set of Hertz 6X9″ speakers were installed in the rear inside custom speaker boxes made specifically for classic trucks. We removed the factory bench seat and in its place are two bucket seats. In between those seats is a custom ported sub-woofer enclosure fabricated by us to house two 10″ JL Audio sub-woofers. Powering it all up is a 5 channel RD900/5 amplifier by JL audio to give it a phenomenal sound. We also upgraded the wheels by installing a set of American Racing 22″ wheels. Our latest project consisted of working on a 2006 Chevrolet Corvette C6 and installing signal mirrors with high-intensity LED lamps. We also replaced the lense covers and added twin LED halos with a Daytime running light sequential strip that switches to amber when you hit your turn signals. It is common knowledge that the lense covers on the C6 were problematic after several years. The OEM covers would get millions of tiny cracks that would diminish the output of the headlights. Not only did it affect the headlight output but it would look terrible on such a nice looking vehicle. GM no longer makes these covers and the dealership’s only answer to this problem is to purchase an entire headlight assembly at costs of over $1000.00 per side. We were able to obtain aftermarket Head light lense covers for the 2006 Corvette C6 and replace them at a fraction of the cost. We took advantage of the fact that we were replacing these covers to also add a more modern look to the headlight assembly. We added twin halos and a DRL strip to give it a fantastic look.
